Upon arrival in San Francisco, guests are met by their driver and guide, with whom they will travel to the luxurious The St. Regis San Francisco. After settling in, they will begin their California adventure with a hybrid ferry cruise to Alcatraz Island, also known as the Rock, where there is a closed maximum security prison, now turned into a museum. Al Capone and Robert Stroud, known as the Birdman of Alcatraz, were held in this most famous prison in the world. Guests will be able to admire the panorama of the city and various species of birds, such as seagulls, herons and cormorants. They will also visit prison cells, the canteen and the guardhouse. After breakfast, the driver will take guests to the bike rental shop. Guests will then go on a bike ride with a local guide towards the famous Golden Gate - a 1937 km long suspension bridge opened in 1,7 that connects San Francisco with Marin County. Along the way, they'll stop at Crissy Field to admire the views of San Francisco Bay, and after crossing the bridge, they'll make their way to charming Sausalito. In the morning, guests and their guide will go on a half-day tour of the city. That day they will be able to try excellent seafood, and after lunch they will go to the luxurious Auberge du Soleil hotel in Napa Valley.
Breakfast and then a tour of the northern California wine region. Guests will visit three carefully selected wineries that are not usually open to tourists. Lunch will be served in one of them. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet winery owners and winemakers. They will also take part in several unique and exciting activities, such as tasting wine straight from the barrel and visiting a cave where wine matures. After breakfast, free time is available to guests. Then, guests will go on a journey along the Californian coast. They'll stop in Monterey along the way and then drive the famous 12-mile road through Pebble Beach toward Carmel Valley. Upon arrival, check-in at the luxurious Bernardus Lodge & Spa.
Breakfast. Guests will then visit the charming European-style town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, where Clint Eastwood was once mayor and where the houses have no addresses. After breakfast, a private driver will take guests on a scenic drive along the California coast to Santa Barbara. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop for lunch at an elegant seafood restaurant. Arrival at the luxurious Belmond El Encanto hotel, accommodation and time to freshen up. In the evening, a sunset cruise along the coast of Santa Barbara, during which, with a bit of luck, you will be able to admire dolphins or whales. Return to the hotel. Breakfast then visit Solvang, a quaint village in the Santa Ynez Valley whose inhabitants cultivate their Danish heritage. Upon arrival, guests and a local guide will go on a bike ride through the picturesque vineyards of Santa Barbara. If time allows, they will stop in Los Olivos for a free olive oil tasting and at a beautiful lavender plantation to learn about the lavender oil production process. After a picnic lunch and wine tasting, guests will return to the bustling town of Solvang, where their guide will show them the best sights and shops. In the afternoon, return to the exclusive Belmond El Encanto hotel, and in the evening you will have free time to explore Santa Barbara on your own.
After breakfast, guests will depart for Los Angeles. Accommodation and rest at the luxurious Hotel Bel Air, followed by a trip to the Getty Art Center, named after its founder, billionaire and oil magnate, Jean Paul Getty. The hill on which the complex is located offers a wonderful view of the city. Guests will visit the museum, which houses a collection of priceless sculptures and paintings, and walk through the green gardens, where they will be able to admire the fascinating architecture of this impressive complex.
Breakfast and then a visit to the famous Griffith Observatory, from where you can admire Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign. Guests will also visit historic Hollywood stables, where many scenes of popular westerns were filmed. Then they will walk along the famous Hollywood Boulevard. Here they will see the Grauman Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame, which features the concrete handprints of movie stars. They will also stop by the infamous Viper Room nightclub and the Roxy Theater. They will also visit Hollywood Forever Cemetery - the resting place of famous stars, including Rudolph Valentino and Johnny Ramone. Guests will then take an exclusive helicopter flight, during which they will be able to admire Los Angeles landmarks such as the Universal Studios movie town and the iconic Hollywood sign, as well as the luxurious celebrity villas in Beverly Hills and Bel Air. They will fly along the Californian coast and see the Santa Monica Pier and Pacific Palisades - a coastal district of Los Angeles famous for its fashionable beaches (this is where the series "Baywatch" was filmed). This exclusive helicopter tour will land on a secluded plateau, from which guests will admire Malibu's beaches with a glass of champagne in hand. Return to the luxurious Hotel Bel Air. Accommodation.
