Żaglowiec Alila Purnama zabierze gości Nomad Story do Raja Ampat, w któ5ym znajdują się jedne z największych i najzdrowszych raf koralowych na świecie. Występuje to ok. 1200 gatunków ryb i 550 gatunków koralowców, a wciąż odkrywane są tu nowe gatunki . Tutaj, w niesamowitym podwodnym świecie Raja Ampat nurkowie mają okazję podziwiać ok. 70% światowych gatunków koralowców.
Położona w prowincji Papua Zachodnia w Indonezji Raja Ampat, to archipelag składający się z 1500 małych wysp otaczających cztery główne wyspy tego obszaru – Misool, Salawati, Batanta i Waigeo. Raja Ampat obejmuje ponad 40 000 km2 lądu i morza i jest domem dla największego morskiego Parku Narodowego w Indonezji. Obszar ten jest znany na całym świecie ze względu na wyjątkową bioróżnorodność morską. Badania wskazują, że różnorodność ta jest najwyższa na Ziemi i jest znacznie większa niż w innych obszarach Koralowego Trójkąta. Wynika to częściowo z położenia na styku Pacyfiku z Oceanem Indyjskim, dzięki czemu można tu obserwować przedstawicieli obu tych oceanów. Pierwsze dokładne badania naukowe przeprowadzonym w Raja Ampat wykonano w 2001 r. Odkryto wówczas blisko 1000 nowych gatunków ryb.
Raja Ampat w języku Bahasa oznacza „czterech królów” – co jest nawiązaniem do czterech głównych wysp archipelagu. Te z kolei otoczone są mnóstwem niesamowitych, mniejszych wysepek, z których wiele zdaje się nietknięte ludzką stopą. Ich wybrzeża zdobią cudowne plażami lub poszarpane wapienne klify. Nurkowie będą mieli czas do woli delektować się najpiękniejszą koralową dżunglą na świecie, obserwować manty czy leniwe rekiny, krążące ponad morskim dnem. Nad wodą zaś goście odkryją sekretne zatoki otoczone wzgórzami pokrytymi tropikalną roślinnością i girlandami storczyków.
W trakcie ekskluzywnej ekspedycji na Alila Purnama odwiedzą różnorodne miejsca, takie jak lokalne wioski rybackie, miejsca występowania rzadkich rajskich ptaków, czy też jaskinie skryte głęboko w dżungli.
From Bali, Manado, Jakarta or Ambon, guests will arrive at Sorong where they will be met by the Alila Purnama crew and be transferred by car and speedboat to the vessel. Once on board, voyage to relaxation begin! Following a general briefing by the Cruise Director to familiarise guests with the vessel and its safety procedures, we cast off and cruise into the Dampier Strait. Say goodbye to land as guests enjoy cocktails with the breeze on the upper deck.
Our first destination will be Kri , a small island just east of Mansuar Island. Here guests will enjoy their first experience of Raja Ampat: white-sand beaches, clear waters and iridescent reefs against a backdrop of dense rainforest. If one is a diver, one can begin immediately with an afternoon check-dive. Later Alila Purnama will cruise until Gam Island giving everyone plenty of time to ease into life on board Alila Purnama and to enjoy its exclusive service at your leisure. Come evening, savour the combination of an extraordinary dinner and the incredible views around you. We will spend the night at anchor, lulled by the ripples of the sea and the calming tranquillity.
Guests wake up to first daylight view of Gam Island before them. After breakfast they will be able to choose from exhilarating activities such as snorkelling or diving to discover the incredible corals and fish life of the Raja Ampat region. Or if they prefer, they can stay on board and luxuriate with a pampering spa treatment. During the afternoon we will explore the other side of Gam Island where more activities will be in store. By evening we will set sail northwards, cruising through the night and crossing the Equator.
Good morning! Today guests will enjoy an amazing day in the Northern Hemisphere. Take in the wonderful views from cabin of clear blue water and tiny sun-kissed islands unusually made, surrounding the Alila Purnama. We are in Wayag Island. The landscape here is so breathtaking, guests will feel as if they are part of a picture postcard. Take their pick from an array of different activities or simply relax on a stretch of private white-sand beach. In the evening our crew will prepare a barbeque on the beach. Revel in the romance of dining outdoors under the stars before we set sail southwards.
Today begins in Sel Pele Bay located on the western side of Waigeo Island, renowned as the best place in Raja Ampat for critter hunting. Besides the stunning underwater world, guests will get to enjoy sighting the rich animal and birdlife in the area as well as a host of other activities planned, including a fascinating visit to the Atlas South Sea Pearl Farm in the island’s Aljuy Bay, to learn about the process of pearl cultivation and harvesting.
Guests will wake up at Jef Fam Island, a marvellous place to enjoy a myriad of activities like sea kayaking, diving, snorkelling and trekking. In the afternoon, the crew will whisk them off in the speedboat for an exciting cruise around the island, a thrilling way to observe small natural pools uniquely created by rocks and discover rare orchids. Enjoy another beautiful sundown experience over a gourmet dinner painstakingly prepared by the executive chef on board Alila Purnama – a perfect end to another amazing day.
Come morning, another day of new discoveries awaits at Mansuar Island. With the morning tide, the crew will bring you snorkelling and diving in waters where turtle encounters are common along with visiting manta rays. In the afternoon the crew will escort you on shore to visit a local village – a chance to meet with the islanders and learn of the local way of life. Later in the afternoon, as you enjoy cocktails on board Alila Purnama, we will begin to cruise towards Sorong
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, it will be time to bid farewell to Alila Purnama and her crew who will escort you until Sorong airport and assist with your departure.
