The greatest attractions of the Baja California Peninsula - the west coast of Mexico

Beaches that take your breath away

Let the one who never wanted to be at the end of the world throw a stone... We believe that each of us has thought about a perfect, luxurious holiday at the end of the Earth at least once in our lives. We also know that extraordinary dreams come true only in extraordinary places, and Mexico is undoubtedly one of them. The Baja California Peninsula offers us more than enough to make this dream come true, and although it is not located at the end of the world, we can find the farthest and most isolated beaches there. Depending on our mood, we can choose between Lovers' Beach and Divorce Beach - the names evoke extreme feelings, which makes the desire to see these places irresistible. It's hard not to mention the most frequently visited beach - El Médano, which is an ideal place for both swimming and diving due to the small number of waves.

The space of over 1200 km in length means that we cannot visit every beach, but those in which we can lose ourselves for a moment (or for two weeks) will also be San Felipe - one of the favorite destinations of beach tourists, El Caimancito - the treasure of the Pacific in Lower Southern California, Playa Rosarito, if we want to be close to the luxury of the best resorts and hotels in the region, as well as Los Barriles - a paradise beach not only for fishing enthusiasts.

Los Cabos

There is no more must-see on the Baja California map than Los Cabos with the famous Arc of San Lucas. The presence of the world's best holiday resorts, countless golf courses surrounded by stunning landscapes touched by the hand of Mother Nature and the pleasant warmth that we can always count on here, create the perfect combination to guarantee a perfect, luxurious holiday. Diving, swimming, snorkeling, quads, or maybe paragliding? Los Cabos provides it all. This is a point on the map that never sleeps, and in the madness of the night there is a good chance that you will meet the most sought-after Hollywood stars who usually spend their holidays here. Let yourself be immersed in the rhythm of another dimension of luxury.

coronado island

If we dream of a paradise, away from the crowds, just us and nature - a great option is the island of Isla Coronado, little known among European tourists, with its idyllic landscape and peaceful rhythm of life. By going on a guided tour, we can see over 160 species of birds, including pelicans, dolphins and mirungas. Snakes and lizards have also settled there. The island is only a few dozen square kilometers, but its sand and water bring to mind Eden.

Ensenada, or art, culture and tradition

Ensenada is one of the first settlements founded in northern Mexico. Today it functions as a port city, the third largest in the region, after Tijuana and La Paz. There is the famous Centro Cultural Riviera building, which was built in 1930 on the dunes and was a social, cultural and artistic center. Loosely translated, it was a hotel with a casino - until 1935, that is, until it was transformed into a camp for Mexican and American soldiers during World War II. An interesting fact is that it was here that the world-famous margarita drink was invented among American representatives of the world of film, politics and business who came to Riviera during the prohibition. Today's colonial appearance of the Riviera Cultural Center brings to mind the famous Alhambra in Malaga. Art exhibitions, drawing, painting, sculpture workshops, dance shows, etc. take place here. It is a must-see when planning an exclusive vacation on the Baja California Peninsula.

La Rumorosa

Little known among European tourists, La Rumorosa is primarily a cluster of unusual views that cannot be found anywhere else. The landscape park, which covers an extensive mountain passage, takes its name from the wind hitting the mountains, which creates a specific noise. It is also a treat for thrill lovers - driving through La Rumorosa can be a real thrill for anyone who dares to drive along this dangerous route. You can go camping, hiking or just stop for a moment to feel the magic of the moment in La Rumorosa.

La Bufadora

35 miles south of Ensenada is one of California's natural wonders that is definitely worth seeing. We are talking about the La Bufadora geyser, which is described as one of the largest in the world. It is assumed that it is a sea geyser, but in this case there is no underground thermal spring, as is the case with typical geysers. You could say that La Bufadora is a combination of cave, wave and air pressure.

The first wine route in Latin America

Can there be a better way to spend your free time than tasting a dry drink in the oldest vineyard in Latin America? Indulge in the pleasure of tasting the world's best Californian wines combined with a rich history. The first wine was brought to America by missionaries, along with vines and appropriate tools for the production of the noble drink. We know from history that the 16th-century missionary collapsed, but the vines remained. Live an extraordinary experience at La Ruta Antigua del Vino, immersing yourself in the process of creating outstanding wine selections, from planting the first grains until the finished wine reaches the glass. The owners of the winery encourage you to be part of Santo Tomas, where you can create your own wine flavors, which will later be included in our private collection.

Dining

We travel not only to relax, but also to get to know the local culture, which includes, among other things, an important point on the map of every food lover, i.e. gastronomy. The food culture in Mexico is not only burritos and tacos accompanied by spicy salsas washed down with tequila, but also a countless number of flavors that will tickle your taste buds. Every region has diversity. On the Baja California Peninsula, every palate will find something for themselves, but carnivores should prepare for the biggest feast - there is no shortage of meat in this part of the world. It is not without reason that Mexican cuisine is the only one in Latin America that is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. There are as many dishes as there are flavor variations that local chefs can come up with. We guarantee that after eating the first few dishes, you will stop remembering their names.

Vacation to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico on the Pacific Coast - Luxury vacation

Charming Cabo San Lucas perfectly reflects the character of the Baja Peninsula: numerous resorts, luxury hotels, beautiful golf courses, delicious restaurants and nightclubs are the greatest advantages of this place. Cabo San Lucas is a resort offering many activities such as sport fishing, golf, yacht cruises and all kinds of water sports. The region is considered the second fastest-growing holiday destination in Mexico and is most popular during the peak winter season, which runs from November to February.

Both in the resort itself and in the surrounding area, dozens of exclusive hotels of the highest standard have been built, creating an extraordinary tourist enclave called the "resort corridor" connecting Cabo San Lucas with San José del Cabo. The multitude of luxury hotels and golf courses creates an ideal place for blissful relaxation, famous for its long sandy beaches and excellent diving spots. The warm climate, relaxed atmosphere and rich nightlife attract not only Mexicans using the excellent accommodation, but also travelers from all over the world.
