The longest country in the world - a luxurious journey through Chile.

At its narrowest point, its width is only 90 kilometers, but its length is well over 4000 kilometers. Chile is the longest country in the world, but that's not the only thing that makes it unique. People of South America are usually associated with an uncontrollable temperament. Chileanos seem to contradict this stereotype. Rather closed, at least in relation to other South American nationalities, calm, they are simply a reflection of the geography of their country: they are in touch with the majesty and silence of the mountains and a glass of local food eaten in one of the restaurants of colorful Valparaiso. What Chile has in common with other South American countries is the majesty of its wild nature. Sky-high mountain ranges, dry as pepper deserts, glaciers, fjords, mountain streams, green forests - there is no shortage of all this in Chile. And for dessert, we recommend a stay in an idyllic vineyard. We invite you on a luxurious journey through Chile!

The greatest attractions of Chile

Let's start with Santiago de Chile. Situated in the shadow of the Andes, the city is inhabited by over 5 million people, which constitutes one third of all Chilean inhabitants. There is no shortage of luxury hotels, restaurants, art galleries and museums in Santiago, but what is most interesting in Chile is outside the capital. Santiago can therefore be used as a base for visiting nearby attractions.

Valparaiso is definitely like that. The country's second largest city is inhabited by just under 300 people, so the atmosphere is much calmer and more idyllic, which is facilitated by the proximity of the Ocean and the character of the old part of the city - full of colorful buildings and winding streets. Getting around the city is made easier by using the cable cars, called here elevators. Valparaiso is also one of the largest ports in the country.

It is worth mentioning that nearby Valparaiso is Vina del Mar, the most popular tourist resort in Chile, famous for its beaches, casinos and the ATP tennis tournament held there.

In the north of the country, the biggest attraction is the Atacama Desert, one of the driest places in the world. The Valley of the Moon, which is part of it, attracts tourists with landscapes that seem from another world, hence its name. The inhabitants of this region proudly say that nowhere is the night sky as beautiful as over the Atacama, and it is hard to argue with them on this point. The main town of this region is San Pedro de Atacama.

For travelers who have a little more time, we recommend a trip to the Lauca National Park, which is part of the Altiplano plateau. Its biggest attractions are salt flats and majestic volcanoes. The park is also home to llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, ibises, coyotes and a large population of Andean condors.

South of Santiago there are areas full of large lakes, streams and high mountains. The green part of Chile. A popular place in this part is the island of Chiloe, the largest in Chile and one of the largest in all of South America.

The Far South can be divided into two main regions. The first is Patagonia, part of which is the Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most popular in America. A great place for trekking, famous for its spectacular high-mountain landscapes. The symbol of the park is the Cerro Torre peak, whose characteristic silhouette has been attracting climbing enthusiasts for decades. The second one should be considered Tierra del Fuego, covering the very edge of the continent. The largest city in the region is Punta Arenas, located on the Strait of Magellan. Luxury ships mooring in the city port take tourists on trips during which you can admire the region's raw nature.

Finally, we leave Easter Island, where moai were erected - gigantic statues showing human faces. Interestingly, Easter Island is one of the most isolated and continuously inhabited places in the world.
